DescriptionCalifornia watercolor artists George James has spent a great deal of time along the California coast. He has always been interest in the fishing industry and so, coastal piers, quays, docks and boat yards have inspired a large number of works. The interesting shapes and structures in those places have provided a starting place and structural base for both his abstract works and his more representational California Style watercolors and photo realistic works. This particular work is from a series of abstract works he produced in the early 1990s.
